If you love nature and being in the middle of it, this place is perfect. We stayed in the river camp just next to the elephant sanctuary so had loads of interactions with the elephants. The access to the camo is a bamboo bridge over the river which requires some balance but is all part of the adventure. Each morning 1 or 2 elephants came down for breakfast at 8.30am which was an unforgettable experience. Breakfast and dinner were ordered via WhatsApp and delivered each day, the food was amazing, especially the Thai green curry. Helpful staff and despite being so rural and isolated, there was great wifi and the toilet and shower were lovely. It rained on us one night and the owner called to check on us, despite it being the middle of the night. Highly recommend if you love nature and elephants!

    Negative Review

Bamboo Bridge access may cause problems for some, limits access. Electricity went out once but staff worked to fix this quickly. Not the most comfortable mattresses but to be expected when camping. White tent from pictures is not there but didn’t affect our stay.

  • Positive Review

the river camp sits directly on the water, and it really is a memorable experience to wake up to the feeding of elephants. all the staff were really friendly.

    Negative Review

the river camp is a bit far from everything, and only accessible from a makeshift bamboo bridge (dangerous at night as totally unlit, especially if with children). for the price we paid, we would have expected a bit extra service to make the stay more comfortable. pictures are also a bit misleading – the large white tent that is highlighted in photos is not actually available

All the staff were super duper nice and friendly, made me feel like I’m visiting my friends and cousins. I booked a 1 night stay at ‘river camp’ but unfortunately the nights before it was raining very heavy. So, when we arrived, they told us they couldn’t let us stay nearby the river as it’s too dangerous. They let us stay on ‘the villa’ which the price is higher than the river camp, but they won’t charge us extra. The only thing is the stay is very far uphill and the road is very scary, they will drive us up and down, deliver food and everything, but I think it’s not as convenient for us. Once you’re up there, you’ll stay up there. The signal is also very bad and wifi didn’t work, but probably because of the heavy rain and thunderstorms happening. Overall, me and my family really enjoyed our stay. It’s perfect for those who seeks for nature and quiet place.
