In honor of Black History Month, the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut will host a special YPSocial + Business After Hours at Mystic Seaport Museum. Guests will have an exclusive viewing of “A Spectacle in Motion: The Grand Panorama of a Whaling Voyage ‘Round the World.” Akeia de Barros Gomes, Senior Curator of Maritime Social Histories, will give a brief introduction to the exhibit and discussion on diversity within the whaling industry and the experiences of Black men employed at sea during this time.
