This was a great homestay in Doi Inthanon National Park. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean, new and nicely designed, if rustic. The setting is lovely and peaceful, with nice views of the valley. We had dinner (very affordable) and breakfast (included) and both we’re excellent. The onsite convenience store was handy for getting beverages or a snack.
Negative Review
There are minimal nearby facilities, so plan to eat onsite if you stay here and note that there is no refrigerator.

The views in the middle of the park next to the mountains and terrace farms were incredible. The staff were beyond incredible, we were a group of 7 and got dropped off by a van at the place and they helped get us situated easily and quickly. we had no means of transport once there, and it is a bit removed from taxis or bike rentals, however the staff were willing to drive us around all day to the attractions and took us to a good spot for food and were very patient and charged a very reasonable price for the trip. the next day they drove us to chom thong, and told us how we could get to chiang mai from there.
Negative Review
If you don’t have a scooter, then you are a little isolated there in terms of food and restaurants. They do make food there, but the menu is a little limited and sometimes they get confused with what you order, but no matter what comes out is delicious for a fair price.

The view – spectacular. You can see the astronomical observatory post on Doi Inthanon and the mountain, as well as lots of fields which are being farmed. So beautiful! The bungalow itself was as you should expect – typical Thai wooden hut style, some gaps in the wood which will let in a few bugs, but this is never going to be an airtight box. They were a good temperature at night and we didn’t even need to use the fan, even at the end of the Thai summer. They provided mosquito nets too which helped prevent any bug issues. The family who run the homestay are lovely and make food onsite too – we arrived late in the evening and we were able to go up to the cafe/restaurant to have dinner. It was so good we are going back again in July!
Negative Review
The first place in Thailand we’ve found a gas heated shower – it worked superbly and we had some of the hottest water we’ve ever had in Thailand! They should really update their images online as they really don’t show how great the property is or the location. Probably the only negative was a very creaky bathroom door .. not the best to open at night when everyone else is asleep! Apart from that the homestay is fantastic.
