    · love the country vibes of this lodge. My room was next to a little garden so you could hear chicken roaming around and sound of boats passing by. We love almost everything here , from the staffs to the restaurant food , the views from our window..to the breezy air from the Mekong river. Just Stunning.. Do buy fresh fruits on display from the dinjng area. So fresh.

    · beds were a bit hard. blankets too thin and uncomfortable. breakfast food is not that great. not too much option.. . Do come in during weekdays and avoid weekends cos the it can be quite noisy. On our last night stay, a house a few blocks a way were hosting a party with loud music until 10-11…

    · The swimming pool is big with a view on the Mekong. It is possible to see the sunset directly from the swimming pool.
The food was good and there is a platform where you can eat on the Mekong.
The bathroom is great, kind of outside the room but still private.
    Disliked
    · There is no connecting room (or maybe just one) so not ideal for family travelling with small children.
The bikes are old and not well maintained.
    No bikes for small children.

    · I wasn’t around much in the week during the day and I stayed at the lodge over the weekend, so I can’t comment on the activities or tours.
The staff are really friendly and the free bike rental was so handy, as I had to leave before the boats were running for the first few days I stayed.
They provided free parking passes for the driver, which was great.
I had a stella weekend off fishing and the gear is free to use. The bait is 150k vnd a day and they’re quick to help if you lose a hook (or 5).
I had the upgraded hut with a heated pool, which was fantastic to soak in after a day long of work.
It is in a village but the city is only a stones throw away. If you would rather avoid a boat ride, the staff can order you a bike taxi.

    · The food during the day wasn’t on the same level as the meals I had in the evenings. I don’t know if there’s a different chef, but there is definitely a difference in taste. But maybe I’m too picky.
It would be better if they fridge stays on all day like the light out the front of the huts. That way drinks (beer) and snacks can stay chilled all day.

    · Lovely 25m pool.
We ate at the hotel every meal (kids loved the buffet breakfast) and it was fairly good value. Borrowed the bikes to buy water in the village.
We should have visited Cai Be – don’t forget to do that! We thoroughly enjoyed the morning excursion; well worth the money (went on a ‘canoe’ in the canal, ate fruit at a fruit farm, tasted local honey and watched a handmade rice paper and popped rice demo). Thong spoke excellent English which helped us immensely.
All staff members were very helpful.
Just be aware that the pool and plunge pools are filled with warm water! Not very refreshing but it is naturally hot from a mineral spring – not the lodge’s ‘fault’ 🙂
Also: the Cai Be floating market is no longer in existence due to the improved road infrastructure. We chose the resort partly because we wanted to see the market. Sadly progress means it is no more.

    · If we had to be picky, perhaps the bikes could’ve been better serviced (we couldn’t raise the seats high enough for example).
