Glamping – literally glamorous camping – has become a popular activity in recent years for people to have a plush break while also getting to experience nature.
And for those wanting the best of both worlds, Drummohr Camping and Glamping Site in East Lothian is the perfect choice.
Located just outside Musselburgh, the site is ideal for exploring the picturesque Lothian countryside and has easy transport links for those wanting a day trip into Scotland’s capital city.
The vast site features a camping ground for those wanting a conventional trip into nature, but it also has single and double glamping pods for a plush stay.
They even have pods that can fit a family of four. And youngsters can let their imaginations run wild with a stay in one of the wizard, fairy or adventure-themed pods.
Drummohr even offers luxury holiday lodges – complete with their own hot tubs!
And the dog-friendly side sits right on the Firth of Forth, so is just MINUTES away from a beach where guests can take in a fresh sea breeze.
The stunning site is such a hit that Visit Scotland inspectors gave it a gleaming five-star rating.
And guests have been left impressed after their stays, as they took to TripAdvisor to praise the site with many of them praising how clean Drummohr is and the friendliness of the staff.
One guest wrote: “The facilities are the best we have experienced, having being recently refurbished and kept in immaculately clean condition.
“The staff were particularly welcoming and always happy to pass on helpful information, such as print-outs of bus and tram routes and times, as well as discount vouchers, such as the one they gave us for the Royal Yacht Britannia.”
And another said: “An outstanding site. The site is immaculate, the staff are friendly and helpful.”
And a third went as far to say it was one of the best holidays they ever had.
They said: “We stayed in a pet friendly lodge, whilst visiting family in the area. This is one of the best holidays we have had.
“The lodge was equipped to a high standard and was extremely clean. We will definitely be using the facilities again. The site is well-maintained and is extremely peaceful. The welcome pack for both humans and pets was a lovely touch.”
